population of the united states, move from the countryside into the cities. and those massive skyscrapers and super efficient subways are paying off. it's true that china's growth is slowing -- look at that -- and it currently can't sustain its growth. they are sustaining their peak because of concerns about the pace of political and economic reform, bribery, theft and intellectual property and threats of how china will deal with the manipulation of its currency. >> china has been a currency manipulator for years and years and years and the president has a regular opportunity to label them as a currency manipulator but refuses to do so. >> as far as currency manipulation, the currency has actually gone up 11% since i've been president because we have pushed them hard. >> well, the currency of the u.n. has appreciated but not as much as president obama says it has. regardless, by keeping the currency low, china can sell the products it manufacturers for less than they're worth, and that makes it hard for american companies to sell goods at a price high enough to pay wages to th

global cities. if you look at the market in miami, for example, which was one of the biggest drops when the housing recession hit the hardest miami is back. miami is back in a very big way. new york back in a very big way. washington, d.c. is back. markets like phoenix they are back as well. nevada for example still has a lot of difficulty. it's a combination of foreign interests. foreigners buying in our market especially south florida where south americans are looking at our u.s. markets as being very, very cheap. so, you look at a big chunk of those buyers in florida, for example, are foreign buyers. so many americans are taking advantage of these lower interest rates. also rental rates have gone up so much that the cost of ownership now in many instances after taxes is less money than it cost to rent. the big challenge, though, is that we're not getting enough people being able to move up out of their existing houses. we're not getting enough people to relocate because they are stuck in their homes even though they are current on their mortgages, even though they qualify for their m

from every part of our country, suburban, rural, and city, and i think the president understands if you're commander in chief, you take care of those fighting for our democracy and i think we shouldn't under estimate both the first lady and the president's commitment to our troops. they understand when you are commander in chief and you order people into battle and you have to protect them, not only in battle but when we come home, and that's important issue for all of americans, and the president is an outstanding record at fighting for the men and women that wear the uniform of our country. >> and he communicated that tonight, governor. good to have you on the problem. thank you so much. we appreciate your time. let's get back to boca and john harwood and a special guest. john, over to you. >> i want to make one point before i go to our special guest, that is the tone you were talking about from mitt romney at laying back and haimsaban said he moved towards president obama. that was largery because the key voters, the swing voters at the end of the campaign were women so he was tr

want to get your take on what happened today at citi. the shakeup. craig, you're a form ceo. what do you make of it? >> well, any time the ceo has a shoot-out with a board and loses, be there's, you know, my indication is there's some deep internal problems. not totally public. >> finally sheila, it's been reported at least on our air that some of your long-time criticism of pandis were used against him by his own political enemies in the power struggle. what do you make of that? do you feel responsible in some small way? >> i don't feel responsible. look you had an underperforming stock for several years, over five years, down 90%, shareholders unhappy they had lost confidence. those are the kind of situations where the board needs to act. and i do think -- i wish vikram well but i never thought he had the qualifications, never had commercial banking experience, never run a large institution. it was a struggle for the past five years, and i think the board made the right decision. i don't think it was anything to do with me or my book. my concerns about him have been long standing.

olympics. i was out in salt lake city this year and they had a front page story in the "desert news" saying he was successful in getting a large infusion of cash from the federal government. so it's true that mr. romney was successful in the olympics but according to what they said was he got a couple million dollars from the federal government. he somehow failed to mention that. but the fundamental point was that the president criticized him for some thing. the ak-47 which is a great example. by the way, that was very striking. romney said i signed a bill to ban the ak-47s but now i can't because both sides got together then. >> what about job, congressman? isn't that what everybody cares about? do you feel like we heard a clear-cut answer to the jobs problem in this country from the president? >> not -- nor from mr. romney. mr. romney's four-point plan, the only jobs that creates that are people that got up to five points. creating jobs is harder than people want to think. i do think the president has a reasonable plan, first of all, one of the things that i wish he'd said, yes, w

, democrat wars in this century will be about 1.6 million americans enough to fill the city of detroit. >> senator dole has richly earned his reputation as a hatchet man by implying and stating that world war ii and the korean war were democratic wars. >> now for paul ryan, he's got to worry as a younger candidate against inadvertently walking into a buzz saw against a more experienced opponent the way dan quayle walked into this line from lloyd benson. take a listen. >> i have as much experience in the congress as jack kennedy did when he sought the presidency. i will be prepared to deal with the people in the bush administration if that unfortunate event would ever occur. >> senator bentsen. >> senator, i served with jack kennedy, i knew jack kennedy, jack kennedy was a friend of mine. senator, you're no jack kennedy. >> now here's an object lesson for joe biden in a positive sense. eight years ago, dick cheney sat down against john edwards and he helped george w. bush stop the bleeding from bush's poor debate against john kerry. here's how that went. >> your hometown newspaper has t
